JAZZ The Woman's Viewpoint

This year’s panel discussion includes Cynthia Holiday- Vocalist, Azania- Vocalist, Nikita White- vocalist, Renee Manning- Vocalist, Monique Ngozi Nri - Poetess. These five women and verbalist promises to deliver a jazz-jammed program that will explore the individual and collective contribution of female jazz masters historian educators choreographers, vocalists and performance artists who’s engagement with this art form is quintessential to the healing of mind body and soul.

The women on this year’s panel will exhibit a keen sense of consciousness that puts them at the heart of the re-birthing of jazz music and jazz cultures as the art form has become . They will be led by moderator Daa’ San Ya leading voice of WHCR’s voice of Gardens of Tranquility and Contemplation. Premier Jazz vocalist Bertha Hope –Tet band will cap off the afternoon’s event.

CBJC Gala and Fundrasier Event

This year’s Gala Event promises to be very special. Featuring music from the Caribbean this is an event the community can get behind and enjoy. Featuring sounds from Jamaica with Denroy Morgan, "I'll Do Anything For You." Brooklyn Jazz with the Jeff King Band and Caribbean Jazz is represented by Dr Mambo and the Experience Ensemble.

Doors open at 5PM with a light buffet music kicks off at 6:30PM Sharp so you don't want to be late and miss out on our three (3) band extravaganza!
